After a full year as head of design for women at Emanuel Ungaro, Kobi Halperin has reached cruising speed (pun intended) with brand codes and clients in mind.

Inspired by a trip to the Villa de Rothschild in the south of France, with its ornate artwork, intricate tapestries and ornate furniture, he offers a print-focused collection designed to take the wearer from the city to the beach, from the Hamptons to the Mediterranean, and many other places besides.

He wanted the collection to offer plenty of mix-and-match closet options, from lightweight white pleated dresses and silk blouses with cabochon lace detailing to a range of tonal prints with huge floral or vintage wallpaper patterns. The flowing tunics or shirts are available in long or short versions, the latter to be worn with taffeta shorts or with jeans, for example, and for a more outgoing look, there are dresses with feather trim and seven-piece pants.
